How does it work?

The New Product Development Process

The Product Development Brief

Getting started on your new product development journey is easy. Using our New Product Development Form, you'll help to provide us with a clear idea of the product you want to develop. If you're unsure of your exact needs, we're happy to assist you in developing your brief.

Once the brief is complete, our formulation team will review it and meet with you to provide feedback and discuss the finer details. If you are happy with what we have proposed, we can then proceed onto to next stage - and the most exciting part: the Formulation Sample Phase.

The Formulation Sample Phase

After feedback from our chemists, if you wish to proceed we charge a modest fee (this covers raw materials). Our R&D team will then create your formulation samples (under 5 weeks).

Formulation Sign-off & Manufacturing Quotation

Once you approve the formulation samples we’ll provide a firm manufacturing quote. We test the fill volume of your packaging and the compatibility of the product/packaging.

Preservative Efficacy Testing & Stability Testing

Your products undergo Preservative Efficacy Testing and Stability Testing by an independent external microbiological laboratory (charged directly to you).

Procurement & Production Scheduling

Place your order. Pay deposit. Raw materials are procured for your product. Production schedule is dependent on due dates of raw materials, availability and packaging delivery.

Manufacturing & Production

Once the raw materials arrive, your chemist follows your products into manufacturing ensuring product integrity and efficiency. Quality Control checks will be conducted throughout this entire process.

Production scheduling is dependent on raw material availability and the delivery of your packaging.
